Email Automation

Send the right email at the right moment — abandoned cart recovery, post-purchase follow-ups, winback sequences, and more.

Available triggers

TriggerWhen it fires
Abandoned cartCart inactive for a configurable delay (default 1 hour)
Post-purchaseImmediately after an order is paid
Order fulfilledWhen the order is marked as fulfilled / shipped
WinbackCustomer has not ordered in X days (configurable)
Bundle purchasedSpecific bundle included in a completed order

Setting up an automation

  1. Go to Email Automation in the SnapBundles dashboard.
  2. Click New Automation and choose a trigger.
  3. Write your subject line and email body. You can use placeholders like {{customer_name}} and {{order_total}}.
  4. Set the send delay (e.g. “1 hour after cart abandoned”).
  5. Toggle to Active and save.

Email delivery

Emails are sent through your store's configured sending domain via Resend. No external ESP account is required — SnapBundles handles delivery automatically.

Unsubscribe handling

Every automated email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Customers who unsubscribe are excluded from future automation emails automatically.

Writing effective automation copy

Keep the subject line specific to the trigger — “You left something in your cart” outperforms a generic promotional subject. Send the abandoned-cart email within the first hour while intent is still high, and reserve the winback email for a longer gap (7-14 days) so it doesn't compete with normal marketing sends. Test one variable at a time — subject line, delay, or discount — so you know what actually moved the open and conversion rate.
